(PEKIN) - A Pekin man was arrested Tuesday on felony charges of possession of child pornography and child exploitation.
Officers from the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against ChildrenTask Force and troopers from the Sellersburg post, arrested 25-year-old William Schmitt, of 6045 East State Road 60, at his place of employment in Borden Tuesday afternoon.
The arrest was the result of a tip relayed to officers from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Officials say Schmitt was uploading child pornography to an internet account.
After speaking Schmitt at his place of employment, officers and Schmitt went to his home and police searched and seized his personal computer.
This case is still under investigation.
