(SEYMOUR) - Seymour Police Department is retiring one of its K9s due to health reasons.
Redge, an 8-year-old German shepherd assigned to Sgt. Ryan Huddleston, has an enlarged heart, a condition aggravated by stress and prolonged periods of activity.
Chief Bill Abbott says the dog has seen several different veterinarians over the past nine months and is on medication but will never recover from the condition.
