(SEYMOUR) - Seymour police were called to an east side hotel early Saturday morning to investigate a report of a possible sexual battery stemming from an online date.
Police Chief Bill Abbott says a 25-year-old Seymour woman told Cpl. Jason Alberring that a 32-year-old man from the New Albany area had touched her inappropriately and confined her in the room.
Police have completed their investigation, and a report was sent to the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office for review and possible charges.
Prosecutor AmyMarie Travis does not comment on cases being reviewed by her office.
