(BEDFORD) - Two Bedford women were arrested after a K-9 found marijuana in their vehicle.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, an officer stopped the vehicle Saturday at 7:38 p.m. at the intersection of 16th and Beech streets after they determined the vehicle had a false or fictitious license plate.
When officers approached the vehicle they noticed the odor of burnt marijuana. A K-9 was brought to the scene and alerted officers to possible drugs in the vehicle.
Officers spoke with the passenger, 22-year-old Brittany Grissom, who told police there was a bag of marijuana under the driver's seat.
Officers arrested the driver, 30-year-old Amanda Miller, on charges of maintaining a common nuisance and possession of marijuana and Grissom on a charge of visiting a common nuisance.
