(SPRINGVILLE) - A Bloomington woman was injured after she was struck by a golf cart at the ABATE Boogie Sunday morning.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 37-year-old Angela Reed of Bloomington complained of pain to her upper arm..
She was treated at the scene by emergency medical technicians working at the Boogie.
Reed told police she was walking near a gravel lane when a golf cart passed her and struck her arm.
But ABATE security told officers that 43-year-old Kevin May, of Selma was driving a cart in that area.
May, who had been drinking after parking the golf cart, told police he had not struck anyone.
Others who were riding on the golf cart with May, confirmed that May had not struck anyone while driving the golf cart.
But Reed, after seeing a photo of the golf cart, told police that was the vehicle that had struck her.
A witness of the accident told police the golf cart that struck Reed had operational headlights, but May's golf cart did not have operational headlights.
