(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce and the Lawrence County Economic Growth Council is now accepting applications for the 2014-2015 Leadership Lawrence County class.
Classes begin in September and meet monthly through May.
Leadership Lawrence County is a program designed to build leaders in the community. The class improved leadership skills and capabilities, develops professionalism and engages participants in the public policy process.
The class is comprised of nine full-day, monthly sessions throughout Lawrence County, with varying businesses, government officials and organizations serving as class hosts. There is also a trip to the State House, providing participants with an opportunity to tour the work of the three branches of state government and dine with local legislators.
Leadership Lawrence County is a well-established and highly respected program in Lawrence County.
Businesses are encouraged to enroll one or more of their employees in their professional program. There are openings for 15 class members and the deadline for enrollment is Tuesday, September 2nd.
The first class will begin Friday September 26.
