(BEDFORD) - The City of Bedford is purchasing a new TASC bus.
TASC Supervisor Melanie Hacker and Administrative Resources association has applied for a grant to cover 80 percent of the $47,000 needed to purchase a new bus.
The new bus will replace a 2009 Ford that has more than 93,000 miles.
Hacker says so far in 2014, 41,889 passenger have boarded the buses-that number is up almost 8,000 passengers from the same period a year ago.
