(BLOOMFIELD) - A Bloomfield couple sitting on their front porch on South Seminary Street was attacked Sunday night.
Officers were called to the home at 11:45 p.m. after a man allegedly walked onto the couple's porch pulled out a knife and slashed the man's throat.
The victim, Jeremy Kohn, was taken by ambulance to Greene County General Hospital for treatment. Police say it took between 40 to 45 stitches to close the wound.
No arrests have been made and there is no suspect at this time, but Bloomfield police have received numerous tips.
The suspect is a white male, between 20 to 30 years old, approximately 5'10 to 6 feet tall, wearing tan pants and a red or brown shirt. His is believed to have a long, unmaintained goatee and short, possibly curly hair.
