(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Police arrested a Bedford North Lawrence student after they were called to the high school Wednesday morning.
Officers were notified by school officials that a student was acting strange and was caught with what school officials believed was drugs.
According to Sheriff Sam Craig, when officers arrived at the school at 10:19 a.m. they were met by school officials who gave police a piece of a leafy green substance which was found on the student.
"Officers tested the substance and it tested positive for marijuana," Craig says. "The teen was arrested and released to probation."
