(BLOOMINGTON) - A man police say tried to steal four expensive vacuum cleaners from Kohl’s department store Wednesday afternoon was captured after allegedly ramming a shopping cart containing the stolen goods into a security officer who confronted him in the parking lot.
Bloomington Police arrested 42-year-old David Sebree of Ellettsville after he put four boxed Dyson vacuum cleaners, valued at $650 each, into a shopping cart and wheeled them out the front door.
When the store's loss prevention officer approached, he says Sebree pushed the cart into him and fled the scene. The security officer was not injured.
