(MITCHELL) - The Virgil I. Grissom Boyhood Home in Mitchell will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The house, where Grissom lived from age 2 through his high school years, offers a glimpse into what Grissom's formative years were like. The home is furnished with some Grissom family pieces as well as other period furnishings.
The Grissom Boyhood Home is on Grissom Ave., between Seventh and Eighth streets. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
