(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man is behind bars after police say they caught him huffing toxic fumes.
Police arrested 37-year-old Scott Kaiser on a charge of inhaling a toxic vapor.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to the Hardee's parking lot after they received a report of a man possibly sleeping in a vehicle at 1:04 p.m. Saturday.
"While police were on their way they received a second call reporting the man had left but was now in the parking lot of Circle K," Parsley said. "As officers arrived they saw a man leaning out the car door vomiting, but before officers could pull into the lot the man took off in the vehicle."
Officers, with their lights and siren activated, stopped the vehicle at 16th and M streets.
Police have arrested Kaiser before for huffing and when police asked if he had been inhaling the vapors again, Kaiser replied "Yes."
Parsley says, Kaiser was arrested and his girlfriend was notified to come pick up his vehicle.
