(BEDFORD) - An Evansville man was arrested after police were called to a home in the 1500 block of 11th Street Monday night.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to the home at 7:58 p.m. after the resident reported there was an unwanted man at the home causing a disturbance.
When police arrived they found 28-year-old Jesse Wilson sitting in a vehicle.
Wilson told police he was at the home to determine if he was the father of a child.
While police were speaking to Wilson they detected the strong odor of marijuana.
"A police K-9 was ran around Mr. Wilson's vehicle and alerted police to possible drugs inside," Parsley says.
Officers discovered a container that contained a green-leafy substance that tested positive for marijuana.
Wilson was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
