(GUTHRIE) - A Bedford man was injured after he crashed and flipped his vehicle on Harding Ridge Road Friday afternoon.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 54-year-old John Robertson was traveling south on Hardin Ridge Road when the 2005 Chevrolet Impala he was driving left the roadway and struck a fence post causing the vehicle to flip on its top.
When officers arrived Robertson was being placed on a stretcher by Marshall Volunteer Fire Department first responders. Robertson was complaining of head, neck and back pain.
Police say Robertson's eyes were red and glassing and he had the odor of consuming an alcoholic beverage. Robertson wouldn't tell police what happened.
Officers found beer cans at the scene and inside the car.
Robertson was taken to IU Health Hospital where he did consent to a blood-alcohol test. Those results are pending.
