(MITCHELL) - The City of Mitchell plans to revitalize the downtown, redevelop the Opera House and enhance the gateways to the city as part of their Comprehensive Plan.
The plan must be turned into the state by December 15.
City officials hired Bernardin, Lochmueller & Associates of Evansville, to develop the plan. The group then sought feedback from community members, business owners, community professionals and city officials.
The Times-Mail reports that the firm presented the plan to the community on October 21 and the city council approved the plan November 3. But the plan is not complete and the firm is still receiving feedback from the community.
