(NASHVILLE) - A Nashville man was arrested after he allegedly battered and held a woman at knifepoint.
According to Nashville police, officers were called to an apartment on West Gold Street Friday after receiving a call from a person about the well being of their friend who had an abusive boyfriend.
Police went to the apartment, but no one would answer the door.
The concerned friend, who lives nearby, told police that no one had left the homes, so police kept knocking.
Eventually according to court papers, 21-year-old Isaias Bustamante opened the door.
Police then separated Bustamante and his girlfriend.
The woman told police that Bustamante had accused of cheating and was yelling at her and had hit her in the head multiple times. He had also placed a knife to her side.
Police say the woman suffered a bloody nose and she had a large lump on the back of her head.
Bustamante was taken to the Brown County Jail where at first denied the allegations but later changed his story saying he had smacked the woman because she had not kept the house clean and was speaking to another man. But he denied every hold a knife to the woman.
He was arrested on felony charges of intimidation, battery by means of a deadly weapon and domestic battery.
