(PEKIN) - A 38-year-old Pekin man was arrested early Thursday and charged with a string of armed robberies in Washington and Clark counties.
Washington County Sheriff deputies armed with a search warrant arrested Jason Pixley. Officers had spent Thursday following leads which lead to Pixley's arrest.
He is charged with the July 24th armed robbery of J&R Liquor in Pekin and the July 29th armed robbery of Morgan's Market in Canton.
Each charge includes one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery with a deadly weapon, and one count of armed robbery with a deadly weapon. He was also charged with one count of intimidation with a deadly weapon in the Morgan's Market robbery.
One additional arrest is expected.
Pixley was jailed at the Washington County Detention Center with no bond set.
The arrest was made after a joint investigation by officer from Newlon, Pekin, Indiana State Police, Borden, Indiana Conservation officers and Salem Police.
