(SEYMOUR) - Schneck Medical Center’s cafeteria will be closed for at least a month after flooding from heavy rain Saturday night damaged the seating area.
Hospital officials said outside storm drains weren't able to handle the heavy downpour, and the water backed up and spilled into the east side of the Seymour hospital.
Windows in a metal-frame door were broken, allowing water to flood the seating area of the cafeteria, said Stephanie Furlow, director of marketing.
