(DAVIESS CO.) - The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team was called to help capture a man who ran from police.
Daviess County Sheriff Jerry Harbstreit says deputies were attempting to serve an arrest warrant on 42-year-old Daniel Butler around 1 p.m. Monday when he ran from police Monday night. The warrant was for petition to revoke a suspended sentence.
Officers were able to track Butler through his cell phone. AT&T was able to locate Bulter on county Road 150 West. Officer responded and found Butler's vehicle and three firearms inside. But Bulter was not near the vehicle.
So officers again pinged the phone and located Butler in a cornfield near the 1800 block of North County Road 150 West.
Butler was arrested without incident and now is facing new charges.
He is being held at the Daviess County Jail on $100,000 bond.
