According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig, officers were called to a home in the 500 block of Old Ind. 37 at 7:29 p.m.
"The caller reported a domestic fight and that it had turned physical," Craig says. "When officers arrived they discovered one woman was complaining of shoulder pain and another claimed she had been slapped across the face."
After their investigation officers arrested 42-year-old Robyn Maddox, of 533 Old Ind. 37 and 42-year-old Tamala Young, of 1384 North Pike Rd, on charges of battery.
"The Department of Child Services was contacted because the fight took place in front of a child," Craig added.
