(BEDFORD) - Two people were arrested Sunday after Bedford police were called to a domestic fight in the 200 block of M Street at 8:25 p.m.
When police arrived at the home they found two women had gotten into a fight.
During that fight 28-year-old Joshua Earl of Springville, was able separated the two women.
Earl then escorted 22-year-old Julia Jones of Bedford outside of the home and that is when Jones claims Earl punched her in the face.
When police arrived they separated all three individuals involved in the domestic dispute.
The first woman filed a battery affidavit against Ms. Jones," says Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley. "Then Ms. Jones filed a battery affidavit against Earl for striking her in the face."
Both Jones and Earl were charged with domestic battery. Jones was also charged with disorderly conduct after she refused to cooperate with officers.
"While officers were investigating the domestic dispute, Ms. Jones was outside and continued to yell, scream and curse, after officers asked her numerous times to stop," Parsley added.
