(GREENE CO.) - A one-vehicle crash on State Road 54, east of County Road 70 East in Greene County, left the motorist in six to eight inches of water.
According to a Greene County Sheriff's Department report, 28-year-old Andrew Forrester of Bloomington was traveling west on State Road 54 just before 6 a.m. when a deer ran into the path of his 2012 Hyundai Elantra. Forrester swerved to avoid a collision with the deer and ran off the road, over the embankment and into six to eight inches of standing water.
Forrester, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured during the incident.
Police noted in their report there was a high amount of fog in the area.
The road was temporarily closed while the vehicle was removed.
