(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was arrested after police were called to Walmart Wednesday afternoon.
According to Assistant Police Chief Joe DeWees, officers were called to the store after a theft complaint at 4:49 p.m.
Officers arrested 45-year-old Virginia Volbrecht on a charge of theft.
Police says Volbrecht was using the self-checkout registers but was not scanning her items.
"She was faking it," DeWees says. "But store security caught her as she was leaving the store."
