(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was arrested after police were called to an apartment in the 800 block of 17th Street about possible drug activity.
When police arrived they knocked on the apartment door and were let inside. There they found 31-year-old Ginny Kellyof Bedford asleep on the couch. Officers woke Kelly, who police say was disoriented and acted as if she was under the influence of possible drugs or alcohol.
"Officers asked Kelly permission to search her purse," says Chief Dennis Parsley. "Ms. Kelly gave officers permission to search her purse and Inside officers found needles, syringes and a white powdery substance that tested positive for meth."
Kelly was arrested on charges of possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
