(SALEM) - Police and Child Protective Services are continuing to investigate an incident in which a child fell from a window last Thursday evening.
Detective Scott Ratts of the Salem City Police says that officers and emergency personnel were called by a neighbor after the 10-month-old boy fell approximately 4 feet. Police say the baby had crawled up to a window that was low to the ground and fell out onto gravel and then lost consciousness.
He was taken by ambulance to St. Vincent Salem Hospital and then transferred to Kosair Children's Hospital by helicopter.
The baby has since been released from the hospital.
