(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was injured after she attempted to stop her vehicle from rolling into Hawkins Bailey Warehouse Thursday morning.
According to a Bedford Police report, 73-year-old Patricia Fletcher of Bedford had parked in the parking lot of the business and had gotten out of her 2005 Dodge Caravan and was reaching in to pull the emergency brake when the vehicle, which was not in gear, started to roll.
Fletcher grabbed the Caravan in an attempt to stop it from rolling into the building and because a small child was in a car seat in the back seat of the vehicle.
Fletcher was dragged and skinned both of her knees and lower legs. She was taken to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for treatment.
The child was not injured and released to family members.
Police say there was minimal damage to the building.
