(BLOOMFIELD) - 28-year-old Rodger Wilson Jr. is behind bars facing reckless homicide charges after he crashed his pickup into a motorcycle, killing the driver.
According to a probable cause affidavit, 71-year-old Robert Cramer of Bloomington was killed after Wilson's truck collided with his motorcycle in eastern Greene County the morning of April 30th on State Road 45.
Cramer was traveling westbound on State Road 45 on his 1986 Honda Goldwing motorcycle while Wilson was traveling eastbound on State Road 45 driving a 2006 Ford F-150 truck. Wilson crossed the center line and struck the motorcycle head-on.
Cramer died at the scene. Wilson and his passenger, 33-year-old Lea Wilson, were not injured during the incident.
The Greene County Prosecutor's Office filed a criminal case against Wilson on Friday, accusing him of reckless homicide, a class C felony and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was taken into custody later that day.
Wilson's bond was set by the court at $50,000 surety with ten percent allowed. He could be released by posting $5,000 cash.
Wilson will be formally charged when he appears in court for an initial hearing this week when the courthouse reopens after the holiday.
