(BEDFORD) - A Heltonville man was arrested Saturday night after he crashed his vehicle into another vehicle and then fled the scene.
According to Sheriff Sam Craig, 54-year-old John Robertson was followed by the motorist his vehicle struck to a business just off Ind. 37.
Police say Robertson was intoxicated and officers were concerned about his medical status so an ambulance was called to the scene.
After being medically cleared, Robertson failed a field sobriety test and a blew positive on a Breathalyzers for alcohol.
He was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of .15 or greater and OWI endangerment.
