(JASPER) - A Jasper man was arrested on several felony charges after police found meth and he fought with deputies.
Leon Mehling was driving his scooter when deputies with the Dubois County Sheriff's Office pulled him over.
Smelling alcohol, deputies say they requested help from the Jasper Police K-9 unit.
The K-9 found meth on the scooter.
While deputies tried to detain Mehling, he began fighting the deputies and was tased.
He was transported to the hospital before going to the jail.
While being booked, officials found an unknown substance on Mehling and he ate it.
He was transported back to the hospital for tests before being booked.
He is initially charged on possession of meth, resisting law enforcement, operating while intoxicated among other charges.
