(BEDFORD) - 34-year-old Alan Bushard was arrested on charges of possession of meth and heroin after Bedford Police officers were called to the intersection of 25th and I streets Tuesday afternoon.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to the intersection after a report of a man and woman involved in a domestic fight.
When officers arrived, Bushard was holding the woman.
Police had Bushard release the woman and that is when he told police the two had been in an argument, but were hugging and making up.
While officers were questioning Bushard they discovered that he had several baggies in his pocket that contained a white substance and some that contained a rock-like substance.
"The substances field tested positive for meth and heroin," Parsley added. "The drugs were packaged in a fashion commonly found when someone is selling the drug."
Bushard was arrested on charges of possession of meth and heroin and possession of meth and heroin with the intent to deal.
