(GOSPORT) - An off-duty Indiana State trooper traveling on County Line Road near Gosport stopped to assist a stranded motorist. Another good samaritan also stopped to assist.
As standard practice, Trooper Kyle Hall called in the license plate and then proceeded to assist at the scene.
Trooper Hall was then notified that the driver he was helping was wanted on a felony warrant in Monroe County and that the vehicle he was in was stolen.
Police arrested 30-year-old Donald Anderson of Stinesville on a warrant on felony charges of criminal confinement, theft, intimidation and criminal trespassing and a charge of interfering with reporting a crime. Other charges are pending.
Anderson was taken to the Owen County Jail and is being held without bond awaiting extradition to Monroe County.
