(JASONVILLE) - 32-year-old Derek M. Fulford of Jasonville was reportedly shot at a home on North Ridge Road just before 5:30 p.m. Monday.
He was taken to Greene County General Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
According to Greene County Sheriff's Department Detective Sergeant George Dallaire, 44-year-old Douglas W. Lambermont of Clay County was arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail on a preliminary charge of murder.
The incident is still under investigation and more details will be released when they become available.
Numerous law enforcement officers were on the scene throughout Monday evening investigating the fatal shooting.
An autopsy is scheduled at 10 a.m. today by Forensic Pathologist Dr. Roland Kohr at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.
