(BEDFORD) - One person was injured at a crash at R and 8th streets Thursday night.
According to a Bedford Police report, when police arrived they found 21-year-old Alexandra Cobb of Springville lying across the front seats bleeding from her head, nose and mouth.
Bedford Fire Department firefighters freed Cobb from the vehicle and placed her in an ambulance.
According to police, 63-year-old Georgetta Vaught of Bedford was traveling north on R Street and had approached the intersection of R and 8th streets when Cobb came through the intersection traveling east on 8th Street. Vaught told police she couldn't avoid the accident and her 2007 Mercury Montego collided with Cobb's 2004 Dodge Neon.
The collision spun both vehicles around.
Police say the stop sign at 8th and R street was obstructed by shrubs and tree branches. Due to that obstruction Cobb could not visually see the stop sign until you reached the intersection.
Cobb was signed for failure to yield the right of way.
