(BEDFORD) - An Oolitic man was arrested on a warrant for allegedly stealing a Jeep and having drugs.
27-year-old Noah Dike was arrested by Indiana State Police on charges of burglary, auto theft, possession of meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, theft and maintaining a common nuisance
According to a probable cause affidavit, on Sept. 11 Dike was involved in a domestic fight in the 400 block of Q Street and police were called to the home, but Dike ran from the home.
At that time a man told police that he believed Dike had broken into his vehicle parked in front of the home and a tool box, a Kenwood radio, some flashlights, tools and other items were missing.
During their investigation police found Dike's vehicle parked outside and found the missing items in his vehicle. They also discovered drugs.
While officers were inventorying Dike's vehicle before it was towed, they saw a black Jeep come by and pick up a person, who they believed could have been Dike.
Later that day, Bedford police received a call about the theft of a black Jeep Grand Cherokee and a burglary to a garage in the 400 block of P Street, directly east of the Q Street home.
The victim told police that five aluminum beer signs, a bug fogger, an air compressor, a backpack, a stand up NASCAR cut-out, energy drinks and Popsicles were taken from the garage.
Officers recovered the Jeep on Sept. 12 in Salt Creek.
On Sept. 15, officers located Dike, who admitted that he had stolen the Jeep and that he had used drugs and couldn't remember all of the details of the crime.
Officers obtained a search warrant and found more stolen items at Dike's home in Oolitic.
