(MITCHELL) - 84-year-old Thomas Johnson was killed in a crash Thursday at 11:45 a.m.at the intesection of State Road 60 and Meridian Road.
Johnson, the front-seat passenger of a 2000 Dodge Neon, suffered internal injures and died at the scene.
According to a Mitchell Police Department accident report, 51-year-old Bryan R. Cauble of Orleans was traveling near State Road 60 East and Meridian Road in a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu. He did not see the car driven by 25-year-old Keith Johnson of Orleans and pulled into its path, hitting the car. Johnson's car then spun out of control and hit a third vehicle being driven by 29-year-old Tyler G. Kalber of Owensburg. Cauble's car ended up landing down in an embankment.
Thomas Johnson was a passenger in Keith Johnson's vehicle.
Keith Johnson suffered a fracture or dislocation to his upper leg. A passenger in Cauble's vehicle, 52-year-old Michael Jackson of Campbellsburg complained of neck pain. They were taken to local hospitals for treatment..
