(NORTH VERNON) - North Vernon police are investigating the death of a Seymour man who was found on the grounds of St. Vincent Jennings Hospital.
Officers were called to the hospital at 1:42 a.m. Sunday morning after 53-year-old Gary Fields was found unresponsive laying in a grassy area on the hospital property.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The cause of Fields' death has not been determined and officials are awaiting the results of an autopsy report. Police say the case is still under investigation.
