(BLOOMINGTON) - A 20-year-old member of Zeta Tau Alpha was found dead in a bedroom of her sorority house Thursday evening.
Officials report that no foul play is suspected in the death of Kelly Ann Hackendahl, a native of Libertyville, Illinois.
Responding to a call for medical assistance around 8 p.m., officers found Hackendahl unresponsive in the sorority house.
IU Spokesman Mark Land says medical personnel attempted to revive the 20-year-old for "almost an hour."
A cause and manner of death have not yet been determined and the investigation is ongoing.
Hackendahl, a junior, was working toward a degree in education.
Members of the IU Panhellenic Association have organized a candlelight vigil to honor Hackendahl. The vigil will begin 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Showalter Fountain.
