(BLOOMFIELD) - This Sunday, ten high school girls from around the county will compete for the chance to be crowned the 2014 Apple Festival Queen.
The competition will take place at 4 p.m. in the Shawnee Theatre located in Bloomfield. The doors will open for the public at 3:30 p.m. There will be a $2 admission fee.
This years contestants will be judged on a private interview that will take place prior to the public show, along with an introduction speech, evening gown competition, and an on stage question.
The winner of the contest will reign over the Apple Festival that will take place the following weekend.
This year, those who attend the queen competition will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite candidate. The contestant with the most votes will be awarded with the "People's Choice" award.
