(BLOOMFIELD) - A three car crash at the intersection of State Road 58 and West Gate, near Crane, resulting in two injuries early Thursday morning.
According to a Greene County Sheriff's Department accident report, officers arrived at the scene at 8:19 a.m. and reported that Justin Elliott of Salem, was stopped in the westbound lane of State Road 58, as he waited on traffic so he could turn south onto West Gate Road.
Robert Cox of Chapel Hill, N.C., was stopping behind Elliott when Elizabeth Moore of Bloomington, failed to notice the stopped vehicles as she approached the intersection.
Moore's vehicle struck Cox which caused his vehicle to hit the rear of Elliott's car which caused the vehicle to be pushed off the roadway into an embankment.
Moore, complained of neck pain and was taken to Bloomington Hospital. Cox and Moore's passenger Samuel Ehreph, both complained of lower back pain and were also taken to Bloomington hospital for treatment.
Assisting at the scene was the Greene County Ambulance and the Richard Taylor Fire Department.
