(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was arrested after she attacked a man Wednesday morning at a home in the 300 block of S Street.
Bedford police arrested 42-year-old Deann Perry on charges of battery resulting in minor injuries.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to the home at 11:37 p.m. after a report of an unwanted male and female at the home. But before police arrived the couple had left.
Then, at 12:07 a.m., officers returned to the home after a report that a man had been attacked.
When police arrived they found that Perry had been asked to leave the home several times and she refused to leave.
"At that point, Ms. Perry grabbed one of the men at the home around the throat and scratched him, leaving marks and caused him to bleed," Parsley added.
The man filed a battery affidavit against Perry and she was taken to jail.
