(BEDFORD) - The PSAT/NMSQT will be offered at Bedford North Lawrence High School on Wednesday, October 15. All sophomores will take this test free.
College bound juniors and home schooled students should report to the Counseling office at BNL to pay $20 to take the exam.
Juniors, who take the exam, can qualify for full scholarships but they must pre-register for the test.
21st Century Scholars will take the PSAT free.
More than 3.6 million students take the PSAT/NMSQT each year. Only 11th-grade students can qualify for scholarships and recognition, but younger students benefit from early feedback on their skills.
The PSAT/NMSQT helps students become college ready. It provides detailed feedback on skills, access to scholarships and personalized online tools, and excellent practice for the SAT.
The PSAT/NMSQT and the SAT have the same format and evaluate the same skills. PSAT/NMSQT students also get a custom SAT study plan based on their results. After the test, students receive feedback on how ready they are for college and access to tools that help them improve.
