(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after his vehicle broke down on Mitchell Road at 3:20 a.m. this morning.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig, an officer on routine patrol on Mitchell when they noticed a motorist broke down in the middle of the roadway.
"The officer stopped to assist," Craig says. "That is when they noticed drug paraphernalia on the passenger front seat."
Officers then discovered a spoon that tested positive for heroin residue and another item that tested positive for marijuana residue.
"They also discovered a pill," Craig added.
Officers arrested 20-year-old Kevan Bugh on charges of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a schedule I controlled substance (heroin), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
