(BEDFORD) - Wreaths and garland made from freshly cut balsam are a holiday project of the Bedford Noon Lions Club.
Members currently are taking orders for these fragrant holiday decorations until Nov. 5.
This is the 14th year for the project which includes two sizes of Christmas wreaths decorated with pine cones and red bows. Orders also may be placed for decorated swags and garlands. All are hand crafted by a company in Minnesota.
The 24-inch wreaths and swags are $20 each and the 36-inch wreaths and 25-foot garlands are $45, the same prices as last year.
Profits from the sales help fund local charity projects as well as eyesight screenings in county schools and educational projects.
Orders can be placed with any Noon Lions member or by calling Dolly and Mike Sowder at 279-1669 or Rita Kersh at 278-3038.
Delivery is expected to be the first week in December.
