Bedford Woman Arrested After Running From Police

Last updated on Monday, October 6, 2014

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was arrested after she ran from police Sunday night.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, an officer was on routine patrol at K and 17th streets at 10:33 p.m. when they noticed a woman take off running.

Concerned for her safety the officer attempted to stop the woman, who continued running and then hide behind some buildings in the area.

The officer located the woman and she began telling the officer she was not Andrianna Baxter, before the officer even asked her name.

In the mean time, another officer arrived on the scene who knew 24-year-old Baxter and that she was wanted on two warrants for failure to appear.

"Once the officer confronted her about her identity Ms. Baxter took off running again," says Parsley. "She then had to be forcibly stopped."

Once stopped Baxter began yelling at officers and continued to fight with them attempting to strike the officers.

Baxter, of 327 Shawswick School Rd., was arrested on the two warrants and charges of resisting arrest by fleeing and force and for providing police with identification deception.
