(BLOOMFIELD) - The Bloomfield School District is hosting a bully-free run/walk on Monday, Oct. 13.
Bloomfield Elementary School first grade teacher Sally Neill says the event brings awareness to kids that are being bullied and helps to try and stop it.
Every student will participate. The event will take place on both school grounds and the streets of Bloomfield.
Younger elementary kids will walk around the track and do a lap on the cross country course. The junior high and high school will do a 5K around town with many streets being blocked off just for the event.
The run/walk starts at 1:30 p.m.
Anti-bullying T-shirts will also be for sale.
