(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested on a rape charge early Sunday morning.
24-year-old John Feldman was arrested near Kirkwood Avenue and Walnut Streets at 4:30 a.m.
According to Bloomington Police Department Lt. Steven Kellams, a woman had met Feldman at a bar and the two went back to her apartment. The woman told police they both fell asleep in the woman's bedroom and she woke to find Feldman sexually assaulting her.
The woman told police she was able to get Feldman out of her apartment before calling police. The victim went to IU Health-Bloomington Hospital, where a rape kit was performed.
Officers found Feldman a short time later.
Feldman alleges he didn't rape anyone. He told police the woman began kissing him when he blacked out. He was woke by the woman screaming hysterically, grabbed his clothes and left.
