(BEDFORD) - An Indianapolis man was arrested Saturday at 11:21 p.m. after he crashed into a large limestone rock Saturday night.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 26-year-old Christopher Dietrick of Indianapolis was traveling southbound on Old Ind. 37 and was not familiar with the area and was attempting to find Kentucky Hollow Road when he missed the turn and continued southbound on Old Ind. 37 until he reached the end of the road at the entrance of Indiana Limestone Company.
There Dietrick saw a gate crossing the roadway and swerved to miss it. His 2012 Chevrolet Equinox collided with a large piece of limestone and then a tree.
Dietrick was not injured, but his passenger, 23-year-old Emily Boyce of Indianapolis, who was asleep in the back seat and unrestrained, complained of neck and back pain. She was taken by ambulance to IU Health Hospital for treatment.
Dietrick, who blew a .162 percent on a breathalyzer, was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangerment and OWI.15 percent or greater
