(BEDFORD) - The grounds at Otis Park are still in good shape after veteran groundskeeper Brice Gordon departed in September.
Bedford Parks Director Barry Jeskewich says he is looking for a new groundskeeper.
Jeskewich is looking for an individual with proven success as a turf manager, have a firm understanding of the game of golf, the ability to maintain an aesthetically pleasing and environmentally sound course, familiarity with regulatory compliance, budgeting skills, and enthusiastic leadership and interpersonal ability.
Jeskewich wants to hire the new superintendent prior to the start of the 2015 season that way they can become familiar with the equipment, course turfs, budget, co-workers, and the culture of Otis golfing.
Until someone can be hired, Jeskewich has consulted with "seasoned professionals" to advise the staff how to prepare the course for the winter.
