(NEEDMORE) - A Needmore teen was arrested after he refused to go to school Wednesday morning and got into a domestic fight that turned physical.
"Before officers arrived the fight turned physical and the boy pushed a family member," says Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig. "He was basically out of control."
Craig says the teen fled from officers when they arrived at the home in the 800 block of Sugar Hill Addition.
After detaining the boy, officers called the probation department and the boy was taken to the Jackson County Juvenile Detention Center on a charge of resisting arrest by fleeing.
The case has been forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor's office.
