(UNDATED) -Hoosier Hills Food Bank has slipped slightly in the “PBJ Campaign” but the food bank remains in contention to be one of the 50 food banks to win a $60,000 grant at the end of the week.
When voting ends at midnight Sunday, the top 50 food banks will win a grant through Walmart's "Fight Hunger. Spark Change" online voting campaign.
HHFB will use the grant to provide a year's supply of peanut butter, jelly and bread to at least six food pantries in the region, including Area 10 Agency on Aging and Mother's Cupboard and mobile food pantries in Bedford, Mitchell, Shoals and Orleans. Smaller amounts of PBJ will also be available to HHFB's 90-plus other partner agencies.
